The Meeting* is a monthly comedy/variety show for homosexuals and their friends. A 'gay' romp through politics, sexual and otherwise, social news, music, skits, and other important life-changing information. Produced by Adam J. Rosen & Rudy Scala, The Meeting* returns to The Duplex Cabaret Theatre on February 8th at 9:30 pm with host Justin Sayre. Past "agenda items" have included the romantic saga of gay penguins at the Central Park Zoo, a nativity play celebrating the birth of Quentin Crisp, a guide to the so-called "gay panic" defense, and musical numbers with cabaret star Molly Pope. The February show will pay tribute to the life of Warhol Superstar Jackie Curtis.

Spangler Set for 'A Little New Music' Concert at Beechman, 12/8

A Little New Music, a new concert, will debut Tuesday, December 8 at 9:30pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The concert, directed by Eve Rybnick and featuring musical direction by Zak Sandler, stars Natalie Bradshaw, Steven Booth, Jaclyn Huberman, Felicia Ricci, James Sasser, Justin Sayre, and Nick Spangler. Melanie Hopkins hosts.

The cuadrilla of an over-the-hill matador (Vincent D'Elia) comes to Martinique in search of a paying bull-fight. They stop (running out of gas) in front of an establishment run by the matador's old flame (Rita Rehn). Years ago, she was a teacher and because her 'girls' are carrying books on Latin, French, and math he assumes she still is. His son (Nicolas Davila) is sent to get gas the hard way - by earning it with a lady station owner. A car accident has the son in bed with the island's newest resident (Jennifer Evans). Pop thinks she's rich and wants damages, the son thinks she owns a gas station and wants gas, she is concussed.
