A few weeks ago over at Broadway Sessions we were joined by an incredible lineup of artists for our Black History Month Celebration! It was an amazing night full of beautiful moments from everyone involved. Performers included Nikki James (Tony Award-Winner), Olivia Donalson (Aladdin), Arica Jackson (Head Over Heels), Laurissa 'Lala' Romain (South Pacific), Kathryn Allison (Wicked), Brennyn Lark (Les Miserables), Antoine Smith (MJ The Musical), Brynn Williams (Spongebob), Carmen Ruby Floyd (Hello Dolly), Joy Woods (Little Shop Of Horrors), Olutayo Bosede (Moulin Rouge), Crystal Joy (Motown), Salome Smith (Little Shop Of Horrors), L. BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway cast twice monthly. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida, Footloose, Dance Captain Dance Attack web series) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. This Thursday night, February 6th, Broadway Sessions celebrates Black History Month with an all star line up of Broadway vets.

I have been a lifelong fan of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. So, I approached Ghostlight Records' LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (The New Off-Broadway Cast Album) with equal amounts of excitement and trepidation. Would it live up to the joys of the distinctive treasures that are the Original Off-Broadway Cast Album, the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, and the 2003 New Broadway Revival recordings? New York City Center today announced complete casting for the Encores! production of Mack & Mabel. Joining previously announced cast members Douglas Sills as Mack Sennett and Alexandra Socha as Mabel Normand are Major Attaway (Fatty Arbuckle), Michael Berresse (William Desmond Taylor), Lilli Cooper (Lottie Ames), Ben Fankhauser (Frank Wyman), Jordan Gelber (Mr. Kessel), Evan Kasprzak (Freddy), Raymond J. Lee (Andy), Kevin Ligon (Eddie), Janet Noh (Ella), and Allen Lewis Rickman (Mr. Bauman).

The critically-acclaimed revival of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will be receiving an original cast recording, to be released by Ghostlight Records. THE NEW LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS OFF-BROADWAY CAST ALBUM, produced by Alan Menken, Will Van Dyke, Frank Wolf, and Michael Mayer a?" and executive produced by Kirdahy, Ahrens and Arnold a?" will be released on December 20, 2019 digitally and will be available on all streaming platforms. A physical CD will be released at a future date to be announced.

Jonathan Groff was a guest on Wednesday night's episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers to talk about his recent projects. During the interview, Groff talks about performing a?oeLet It Goa?? with Idina Menzel at a London gay bar, bringing his nieces to the premiere of Frozen 2 and spitting on David Fincher while performing in Little Shop of Horrors.

Jonathan Groff, who stars in the new Off-Broadway 'Little Shop of Horrors,' was a guest on Monday night's episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Groff is such a big fan of Julie Andrews, who was the other guest on the show that night, that he shared the story of how he once dressed up as Mary Poppins for Halloween.

Producers of the Off-Broadway return of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS have instituted a new daily schedule for the show's in-person ticket lottery. Beginning with the drawing for the Saturday, September 28 evening performance, the new lottery timeline for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will be as follows: entries open 90 minutes prior to each scheduled curtain time at the Westside Theatre box office (407 W. 43rd St, NYC), and winners will be drawn 55 minutes prior to the scheduled curtain time. This will be instituted throughout the musical's run.
