Full Cast Announced for Zany ZinZanni's Fall Cabaret-Cirque Concoction 'Hollywood Nights'

Teatro ZinZanni Seattle today announced the royal flush cast of its fall creation Hollywood Nights - a three-hour whirlwind of love, chaos and dinner served up à la cirque, comedy, and cabaret. Hollywood Nights will feature the long-awaited return of prolific actor and fun-slinger Ron Campbell as well as absurd visual comedian Mr. P.P. Filling out another international cast of unique talents is chanteuse Francine Reed, aerial trapeze artists Ben Wendel (of Duo Madrona) and Terry Crane, opera diva Juliana Rambaldi, master juggler Gamal David Garcia, vaudevillian Wayne Doba, acrobat-dancer Andrea Conway Doba, gorgeous gymnast Elena Gatilova and Chinese Pole acrobat Domitil Aillot. Hollywood Nights is set to open September 17, 2015 (press night Thursday, October 1, 2015) and run through January 31, 2016 at Teatro ZinZanni (222 Mercer Street, Seattle).

Countess Aurelie and her fellow madwomen are back to save Chaillot, Paris and the world in a stylishly realized theatrical tour-de-force. As directed by Christopher Henley, WSC Avant Bard's THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT is a feast for the eyes and ears. The production, in an exciting and vibrant translation by Laurence Senelick, also feeds the soul as a reminder of how precious our fragile earth really is and how important it is for someone, anyone, to take a stand to protect it. This MADWOMAN is also brilliantly acted from the members of the quirky ensemble to the queen bee herself, Countess Aurelie, effortlessly brought to life by Avant Bard company member Cam Magee.

Boston Ballet's fiftieth anniversary tour culminated in an in-your-face Lincoln Center season. Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen took risks - a victory lap outside of the company's home city on the home stage of hallmark American ballet companies - but he looked pretty pleased as he strode up the aisles of the David H. Koch Theater on the June 29th matinee. Rightly so, since his company delivered three New York premieres in Program One with William Forsythe's The Second Detail, Jose Martinez' Resonance, and Alexander Ekman's Cacti for a full throttle experience.

Denver Center Attractions announces the 2013 nominees for The Bobby G Awards - the Colorado regional awards program for The National High School Musical Theater Awards. Fifteen public and private high schools in the seven Denver metro counties participated in the inaugural season. The awards ceremony, on May 30 at 7pm in The Seawell Grand Ballroom, includes performances from the shows nominated for outstanding overall production and honors outstanding achievements by students and educators made in the areas of performance, design, direction, choreography, technical production and overall production excellence.

Taos Historic Museums is giving the public an opportunity to explore one of the few Spanish Colonial "great houses" - Hacienda de los Martinez Museum - and the home/museum of Taos Society of Artists founder E.L. Blumenschein with free admission on April 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. The event includes free, docent led tours and refreshments. A private reception for media and tourism industry employees (not open to the public) will follow, featuring live music; painting demonstrations; artist appearances; hors d'oeuvres; and wine.
