The Dramatists Guild Fund to Stage New Works by DG Fellows at Playwrights Horizons

The Dramatists Guild Fund to host annual presentation of new work by DG Fellows at Playwrights Horizons (416 W 42nd St) in New York on October 19, 2015 at 7:00 PM. The presentation features excerpts from work by the 2014-2015 class including Naveen Bahar Choudhury, Camille Darby, Sophie Jaff, Dana Levinson, Kristine M. Reyes, Tim Rosser, Charlie Sohne, Mark Sonnenblick, Aurin Squire, Kathleen Tagg, James A. Tyler, Stacey Weingarten and Ben Wexler.

Horse Trade to Host 6th Annual FIRE THIS TIME Festival Next Month

Now in it's sixth season, The Fire This Time Festival will welcome seven new playwrights into the family, January 19-February 8 at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). These playwrights will present an evening of ten-minute plays, each inspired by one of Alex Harsley's original photographs. This year's festival will also feature the World Premiere of Nathan Yungerberg's play Pousada Azul, directed by Russel G. Jones (Father Comes Home from the Wars at The Public). Special events will include a play reading series, an open mic night, a movie screening, and a panel discussion on art and activism. Ars Nova Now Accepting Applications for Play Group 2015

Ars Nova is now accepting applications for Play Group, a vibrant and eclectic group of emerging writers who gather twice a month at Ars Nova to share new work and get peer feedback. The group offers members the chance to develop their plays with peer support; to be inspired by each other's work; to form collaborative relationships; and to build a strong sense of community within Ars Nova. All emerging playwrights are eligible for membership. If selected, new members will be invited to join for a period of two years beginning in January of 2015.
