Curiouser and Curiouser... Long Island City Artists (licartists.org)  in association with Greg Schaffert will present the site-specific musical PAINTED ALICE: The Musical at The Plaxall Gallery in Long Island City (5-25 46th Ave, LIC). PAINTED ALICE will begin performances on October 6.  

Two new musical theater works devised by some of the most exciting creative voices in Scotland and the U.S. will premiere at the world's largest arts festival when the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the American Music Theatre Project at Northwestern University team up for a third consecutive run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

This one-night only event, now in its sixth year, showcases 10 new musicals by up-and-coming musical theatre writing teams. Students from Northwestern University's American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) will once again perform side by side with students of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) in thematically linked musicals at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Creators Carly Brooke Feinman and Cassie Willson are thrilled to announce the casting for their original musical If Sand Were Stone, making its Off-Broadway debut this July as part of the 2018 New York Musical Festival's (NYMF) Next Link Project. Featuring original music by Ms. Willson and original book & lyrics by Ms. Feinman, If Sand Were Stone will play a 5-performance run at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row beginning July 18, 2018.

It's the hottest day of the year at Lucky Land Amusement Park in Lancaster County, PA. Abigail, Sarah, and Moira - three Amish girls from a nearby community - arrive at the park for their very first day of Rumspringa, the year in an Amish teenager's life when they are given the opportunity to explore the 'English' world. In their one day at Lucky Land, each girl has a life-changing adventure that will alter the way she thinks about her upbringing - and herself - forever. And when Abigail falls for Shane, a troubled but kind-hearted teen from Florida, she must make the ultimate decision: return to the safety of the Amish world or leave her family behind in favor of a life she's never known and a feeling she never expected.
