Presented in partnership with Autism Speaks-Chicago, the Goodman welcomes families with members who have autism or other social, cognitive and physical challenges that create sensory sensitivities.

Goodman Theatre and Candlelighters NYC partner for the launch of the theater's Tiny Tim Drive a charitable effort during A Christmas Carol that spotlights one service organization selected by the young performer portraying Tiny Tim. Candlelighters NYC from which 10-year-old actor Paris Strickland has personally benefited supports families who travel to New York City for pediatric cancer treatment.

This year's spotlight falls on Paris Strickland, the adorable 10 year-old girl with a miraculous story of her own. CBS Sunday Morning chatted with the young actress and her Goodman company.

Ten directors, eight Ebenezer Scrooges and 29 Tiny Tims later, Goodman Theatre's A Christmas Carol celebrates 40 years, now through December 31. Ten directors, eight Ebenezer Scrooges and 34 Tiny Tims later, Goodman Theatre's A Christmas Carol celebrates 40 years as Chicago's long-standing holiday tradition, enjoyed by more than 1.5 million people, November 18 December 31.

Nearly 100 actors, crew, staff and audiences of A Christmas Carol have smiled, spoken and shared. Today, Goodman Theatre launches a multimedia showcase reflecting the impact the production has made over 40 years: the Humans of A Christmas Carol photo project, featuring the cast, crew and staff captured by famed Chicago-based photographer Frank Ishman; and A Christmas Carol All-Stars, stories from a variety of patrons from those who have attended nearly every year, to the couple married by Bob Cratchit, to the fan named for Tiny Tim.

Lipuma, adds a week of performances to the run of Parade, with book by Alfred Uhry and music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, co-conceived by Harold Prince.  The Writers Theatre production of Parade is directed by Gary Griffin and features musical direction by Michael Mahler and choreography by Ericka Mac.  Parade now runs through July 15, 2017 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.

PARADE is now in a blistering and beautifully minimalist production from director Gary Griffin. Though it is based off the real-life 1913 trial of Jewish pencil factory worker Leo Frank and was written by Jason Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry in 1998, this musical feels entirely of this moment. Set in Atlanta, Georgia, the musical follows Leo as he is imprisoned and put on trial after being falsely accused of the murder of Mary Phagan, a pre-teen girl found dead in the basement of the pencil factory. Georgia governor Hugh Dorsey wants to rapidly resolve the case and pins the blame on Leo-and coerces factory janitor Jim Conley to serve as an eye witness. The residents of Atlanta buy into Dorsey's false narrative, as they're distrustful of Frank and also want to see Mary's death avenged.  

This stirring, Tony Award-winning musical explores the endurance of love and hope against seemingly insurmountable odds, telling the true story of Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-born Jewish man falsely accused of murder in 1913 Atlanta.

Directed by Geoff Button, with music direction by Matt Deitchman and choreography by Katie Spelman, this heartbreaking musical adaptation of Elmer Rice's play The Adding Machine features music by Joshua Schmidt and book and lyrics by Jason Loewith and Schmidt. ADDING MACHINE: A Musical will play now through May 15, 2016 at The Den Theatre's Heath Main Stage, 1329 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.
