Independent Shakespeare Co.(ISC), presenters of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival announce the world premiere of interdisciplinary artist Kalean Ung's original solo work, LETTERS FROM HOME, directed by Marina McClure, with music by Chinary Ung. LETTERS FROM HOME will play October 26 - November 18 at Independent Studio in the Atwater Crossing Arts + Innovation Complex, 3191 Casitas Ave., #130 in Atwater Village.

M-34's world premiere of director James Rutherford's new English translation of Oscar Wilde's SALOME, choreographed by Jess Goldschmidt, will now run October 6 - 27 (instead of 8/25 - 9/15 as previously announced) at Irondale (85 South Oxford St.) in Brooklyn. Opening night is October 10.

Jomama Jones' BLACK LIGHT Returns to New York This Fall

Producer Diana DiMenna (The Great Comet, Three Tall Women) is proud to announce that The Public Theater production of Black Light will return to New York this fall for a limited engagement at the Greenwich House Theater (27 Barrow Street). Performances will begin September 24 and run through December 31, with an opening night of October 10.

Originally commissioned as part of the Joe's Pub New York Voices series, Black Light is a moving, music-laden work - a revival of sorts - for turbulent times. Created by Jones, the show features all original music by Jomama, Laura Jean Anderson, Bobby Halvorson, Dylan Meek and Josh Quat. The show's music direction is by Samora Abayomi Pinderhughes.

Black Light is a moving, music-laden work - a revival of sorts - for turbulent times. Performances begin Monday, February 12 and run through Sunday, March 25, with an official press opening on Sunday, February 25.

Madame's Soiree (Drew Fornarola and Tyler Spicer, co-artistic directors), and The Duplex Cabaret Theater (Thomas Honeck, General Manager) are proud announce Mary Theresa Archbold and Trevor Bachman as the first recipients of Madame's Soiree's Denovan Residencies. The residency and accompanying grants aim to give winners the most comprehensive development opportunity in cabaret. Mary will use the residency to develop her one-woman show, Anybodys Everybody: One Girl's West Side Story and Trevor will develop his new musical This Be Magic: A Guide for Young Queers.
