Ian McEwan, Will Self & More to Launch New Novels at The Edinburgh International Book Festival, 2012

The Edinburgh International Book Festival today announced its programme for 2012. Charlotte Square Gardens will welcome Nobel Laureates, Booker and Pulitzer Prize winners and Poets Laureate as well as a stellar line up of the world's leading writers, poets, thinkers and commentators. With Guest Selectors, the Anobii First Book Award, the Edinburgh World Writers' Conference, the gamut of outstanding authors from Ali Smith to Zadie Smith, and a third year of the late night Unbound events, the Book Festival promises a summer of contemplation, inspiration and entertainment.

For its first offering this year, 9 Works Theatrical presents the musical comedy YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN - based on the comic strip 'Peanuts' by Charles Schulz; featuring book by John Gordon; and music and lyrics by Clark Gesner. The show runs at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City until Saturday, March 3.

Cornish College of the Arts Festivities Raise $390K for Scholarships

Cornish College of the Arts wrapped up its weekend of Inaugural festivities by raising $390,000 to support student scholarships on Sunday, October 16 at Cornish Celebrates an Evening of the Arts, the College's annual gala fundraiser. The College officially installed its fifth president, Dr. Nancy J. Uscher on Friday, October 14 and welcomed her with a day-long colloquium at Cornish on Saturday.
