The Iridium, the world-famous jazz, rock, and blues club best known as the “Home of Les Paul,' today announced its re-opening December 2021 and the return of R&B/neo-soul icon Macy Gray for a special New Year's Eve 2021 run of shows.

The show features solo performances from both Jackson and Rundgren who turn in some of the most intimate and lush versions of their biggest hits including “Steppin' Out,” “Hello, It's Me,” “Is She Really Goin' Out With Him,” “Bang The Drum All Day,” “It's Different For Girls,” “I Don't Want To Tie You Down” and more!

Ford's Theatre Society announced full casting and design team for Guys and Dolls, directed by Peter Flynn. The production features Maria Egler as Miss Adelaide, Joe Mallon as Nathan Detroit, Bueka Uwemedimo as Sky Masterson and Karen Vincent as Sarah Brown. The musical features showstoppers 'Luck be a Lady,' 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat,' 'Take Back Your Mink' and more, and plays March 13 to May 20, 2020, at historic Ford's Theatre. The production is recommended for ages 10 and older.

Award-winning playwright/filmmaker Julien Nitzberg's new stage musical FOR THE LOVE OF A GLOVE, AN UNAUTHORIZED MUSICAL FABLE ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON AS TOLD BY HIS GLOVE, opened last night in Los Angeles.

For the fifth consecutive year, The Iridium will be hosting Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) artist showcases with the 2020 lineup featuring The Tartan Terrors, known for their unique blend of Celtic music, comedy, and step dancing on Thursday, January 9; American roots rock group The Subdudes on Friday, January 10; Rockapella on January 11; Joe Mass of Neil Young tribute band Broken Arrow on Sunday, January 12; and Super Groups of Soul on Monday, January 13.

Bette Davis and John Wayne to Bo Diddley and Bob Dylan, the State Theatre in Portland has seen its share of stars since it first opened its doors on November 8, 1929. On Friday, November 8, 2019, the theatre will kick off a celebration of its 90th birthday with a week-long scavenger hunt around Portland with ticket and merchandise giveaways to mark the historic occasion. Details will be available via the State Theatre pages on Facebook and Instagram. Additional special events will be planned for November and December.

'Our goal was to try to distill our more exploratory and improvisational live sound into something more accessible to mainstream listeners, who are typically streaming 3-4 minute tracks,' elaborates bandleader Ramsey Elkholy. 'With the help of Pensado and Calbi, the final product exceeded all our expectations.'
