At today's Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, Freeform President Tom Ascheim surprised the cast members of “Good Trouble” with a season two pickup of the critically acclaimed series, which is currently airing on the network.

Freeform announced today the second annual Freeform Summit, a network and industrywide event featuring some of the biggest names at the forefront of the network's 2019 programming slate, to be held in Hollywood on THURSDAY, MARCH 28. The summit will also spotlight key influencers, tastemakers and pop culture titans who have dedicated their voices to creating culture and effecting change. This year, the theme for the event will be a reimagined beauty pageant, providing “a stage for everyone” to have a voice, be ambassadors of change and tell stories that matter. Panels will deliver candid conversations surrounding representation, authentic storytelling, inclusion and mentorship, and emphasize how far young adults have pushed society to reexamine cultural norms.

Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein II, the fathers of the modern American musical, were advocates of social responsibility. In OKLAHOMA, they stressed the building of community. In SOUTH PACIFIC they pegged prejudice. In THE KING AND I, the duo examined intercultural understandings.

Freeform announced today that “Good Trouble,” the highly anticipated spin-off of the groundbreaking family drama “The Fosters,” will premiere on TUESDAY, JAN. 8. The pilot, executive produced and directed by Jon M. Chu (“Crazy Rich Asians”), follows Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) as they embark on the next phase of their young adult lives in Los Angeles, as Mariana tackles the male-dominated world of tech and Callie faces the harsh realities of the federal legal system clerking for a federal judge.

Casting has been announced for the 2018-19 national tour of Cinderella launching in November.

Freeform has announced that Good Trouble, the Fosters spin-off, will premiere in January 2019.

The Fosters' Hayden Byerly will reprise his role as Jude in the Freeform spinoff Good Trouble, according to Deadline.

Today, Freeform announced “Good Trouble” as the official title for the spinoff to the critically acclaimed drama “The Fosters.” The series, which was announced earlier this year, will follow Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) as they embark on the next phase of their young adult lives in Los Angeles.
