September 19th kicks off an extensive Broadway Connection season in Louisville with scheduled Master Classes at local studios including Ellen's School of Dance, 360 Dance, Dance 502 and more as they introduce students to Broadway Connection Teachers, Eric Johnson, Jordana Grolnick and Ben Lanham from the cast of CINDERELLA, Amy Quanbeck from the cast of DIRTY DANCING, and later this season, Broadway Connection teachers in WICKED and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

BC Beat, the bi-annual choreography showcase established to support, explore and experience innovative theatrical dance, announces a line up for Monday May 18th featuring nine choreographers with work performed by a company of 40 artists from Broadway's biggest hits. The evening kicks off at 7pm with music by DJ Justin Johnston (RENT) at Cielo (18 Little W. 12th Street).

Broadway's most daring, curious, and talented artists gathered at Cielo for the Fall 2013 BC Beat on Monday, November 11th, the showcase and dance party with its own rules for sharing work and connecting artists. The evening's choreographers featured: Charlie Sutton, Cindy Salgado, Caleb Teicher, Kyle Mullins, Tricia Brouk, Josh Assor, Rickey Tripp, and Jennifer Jancuska, as well as performers Daniel Watts, Jennifer Locke, Ephraim Sykes, Aurelia Michael, Voltaire Wade-Greene, Masi Yahya James, Amber Jackson, Elizabeth Burke, Macy Sullivan, Ryan VanDenBoom, Matthew Steffens, Heather Hamilton, Shiloh Goodin, Liz Piccoli, Paul Romero, Borris York, Matty Oaks and Rachel Guest. As night comes quicker and cold sets in, getting into BC BEAT tonight, December 10th, 7pm sharp seems like the best thing going. Walking into Cielo's warmly lit interior with Declan Bennett spinning music as the evening's dancers and choreographers glide around the room conversing and playing on the dance floor, it's easy to order a hot toddy from the bar and say hello to old and new friends. BC BEAT has become a staple for the Broadway community. It's an access point to new work, new people, and an inspiring sense of possibility.

Casting has been announced for the new Frank Wildhorn production of Zelda: An American Love Story, starring Lauren Kennedy and Tony award winner Jarrod Emick. Directed by Vincent Marina with original choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and additional choreography by Stephanie Klemons, the musical opens regionally in North Carolina October 3 at Flat Rock Playhouse, The State Theatre of North Carolina and will run through October 28.

Produced by Jennifer Jancuska and The BringAbout Productions, BC Beat offers the Broadway and dance communities another unique and exciting way to experience dance. Focused on storytelling and set in a club with the best sound system in NYC, BC Beat will feature new work by eight highly anticipated choreographers from genres including musical theatre, contemporary, jazz and tap. Smack in the middle of the club, with the audience surrounding the sunken stage and close enough to touch the dancers, choreographers will present their unique way of storytelling and vision for Broadway's future.
