The Realness, directed by Maggie Norris, is “an urban musical” that tells the story of Jay Johnson, a man who has been released from prison. Determined to change for the better, Jay is working to try to stay straight, but soon finds himself being pulled back into the world that had sent him to prison in the first place.

The Big House will be producing the first remounting of the urban musical The Realness since its sold-out debut at Hackney Downs Studios in 2014.

​​​​​​​CollabWERKS is a new collaborative producing organization brought together by three Sonoma-county based arts centered companies Redwood Theatre Company, Kimzin Creative, THTR Productions that seeks to connect audiences and bring a fresh Broadway experience to Sonoma County.

Ten playwrights offer ten-minute plays performed by an ensemble of ten actors in the Fells Point Corner Theatre's annual 10x10x10 competition. Strong writing dominates the production, and each piece is different enough from its fellows that determining the “best” show is challenging, as the plays vary widely in format, pacing, tone and subject.

This two-hour non-stop, quick-fire comedy is delivered superbly by a cast of familiar faces to Liverpool’s Royal Court and newcomers to the theatre’s main stage. 

In August, Fells Point Corner Theatre (FPCT) will kick off its 36th season with a production of ten short plays portrayed by ten actors and directed by five directors. The ninth annual 10x10x10 Short Play Festival is the theatre's most popular offering and stages a broad collection of hilarious and compelling brand-new plays by local playwrights.

Loosely based on the life of the famed Judge Lynn Toler, Judge Me Not is the story of Zelma Jay Johnson (Chyna Layne), an exceptionally bright, young Black woman who struggles with mental health issues, a ludicrous family, and volatile love life.

Raise Your Voice: A Cabaret for a Cure, benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, will take place at 7:00 pm Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the Peter Norton Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th St).
