La Mirada Theater announces their 2009 - 2010 season of shows.This season, the company will offer its subscribers and audiences six unforgettable theatrical events: from the hilarious Southern gem, Steel Magnolias starring the inimitable Cathy Rigby; to the music and legacy of famed '50s legend Buddy Holly in Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story; you will drop in on the making of the classic movie epic, 'Gone With The Wind' - that almost wasn't made in Moonlight and Magnolias; then test your spelling prowess in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; finally, enjoy a not so quiet Dinner with Friends and then get patriotic with Tony Orlando's tribute to the Stars and Stripes in 'Let's Salute America!'

The Los Angeles production of WICKED closed last night (Sunday, January 11th) at the Pantages Theatre, after playing 791 performances and 12 previews. It has entered the record books as one of the most successful musicals in Los Angeles theatre history. This production is now transferring to the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco, where it begins performances on January 27.

Broadway's Peter Pan, Cathy Rigby, will star as Mrs. Claus in "The Magical Spirit of Christmas", a fully staged and costumed musical extravaganza which culminates in the lighting of the nation's tallest decorated Christmas Tree, November 20-22 in Newport Beach, California.

The record-breaking Chicago Company of Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, is thrilled to celebrate its first anniversary in Chicago on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. In celebration of this major event, a new block of tickets for performances through April 12, 2009 will go on-sale to the public at 10 a.m. Jersey Boys will also hold a citywide lunchtime pizza party, giving away 4,000 slices of Home Run Inn Pizza at various locations throughout the city, from noon - 1 p.m. and present a special anniversary performance at the Bank of America Theatre that evening at 7:30 p.m.
