?'Time Stands Still,' the Tony nominated drama by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies about the impact of covering the Iraq war on a driven photojournalist, will be the second production of the Hampton Theatre Company's 30th anniversary season, opening on January 8 at the Quogue Community Hall.

TIME STANDS STILL is so well written with honest observations on modern life, and directed with an intimate understanding of the characters, the audience is positioned as flies on the wall watching the action as if we are reflecting on our own lives as well as the characters. The actors are totally focused and feed off the energy emanating from each other from moment to moment, making the action and emotions all the more real and heartfelt. This is truly a brilliant piece of theater, posing thought-provoking unanswerable questions.

Donald Margulies has a lot to say about modern life in his 2009 drama TIME STANDS STILL. The multifaceted piece pins a savvy photojournalist against desires to start a family and leaves her questioning the true impact of her work. Likewise, the skillful acting that occurs on the stage at Main Street Theater - Rice Village leaves the audience with plenty to think and talk about on the car ride home.

Time Stands Still, by Donald Margulies closes on October 20, 2013 at the Dayton Theatre Guild, leaving just one week for tickets to the production, which is Directed by Debra Kent and Produced by K.L.Storer.

As a seasoned photo journalist, Sarah Goodwin has made her living looking through a lens, freezing moments of heartache, horror and humanity in the war-torn corners of the globe. She and her long-time partner, combat reporter James Dodd, have always shared a deep commitment to their work.

TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents the regional premiere of the recent Broadway hit TIME STANDS STILL by Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies (Dinner with Friends, Brooklyn Boy). The play will be helmed by Leslie Martinson and stars Rebecca Dines and Mark Anderson Phillips in the pivotal roles of the photojournalist and war correspondent, with Rolf Saxon and Sarah Moser completing the cast. TIME STANDS STILL runs August 22 - September 16, 2012 (press opening August 25) at TheatreWorks at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. The Guthrie Theater, now in previews for the critically acclaimed play Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, welcomed the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright to the final rehearsal and first preview last weekend, Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7.
