The Diana Tapes, by James Clements directed by Wednesday Sue Derrico, is the true story of one of the greatest media scandals in British history - the publication of Andrew Morton's book about Princess Diana, "Diana Her True Story in Her Own Words", which ended her marriage and shook the monarchy to its core.

What Will the Neighbors Say? is excited to announce its reading of Four Sisters, a play by Co-Artistic Director James Clements, at Theatre for the New City. Presented as part of the theatre's Scratch Night Series, WWTNS? will share the re-imagined script on Monday, March 26th at 7pm at 155 1st Avenue. There is a $5.00 suggested donation to support the continuation of this vital artistic development program.

What Will the Neighbors Say? will present the New York Premiere of James Clements' THE DIANA TAPES, directed by Wednesday Sue Derrico (HVMLET for She NYC Arts Festival) at HERE(145 6th Avenue), May 24-June 10. Performances will run Tuesday through Saturday at 7pm, with matinee performances on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 2pm.

Diana, Princess of Wales remains a fascinating figure, despite the two decades that have gone by since her death. The relatively new play, THE DIANA TAPES, by James Clements takes an interesting approach to the princess, her motivations and involvement with the tabloid writer Andrew Morton, when he wrote Diana: In Her Owns Words in 1992.  Diana was typically portrayed as a beautifully fragile woman with a pure heart who was cuckolded and had a tremendous amount of difficulty in her life, but this play presents her as a canny manipulator using the press to control her own narrative, rather than allowing the royal family's media machine dictate what others think of her.  It's a complicated portrait of a public figure who everyone likely has an opinion about, but also an interesting look into the potential problems created for her friends and her biographer when she decides she wants to tell her own story.

The inaugural project is an original theatre for young audiences musical, Untitled Shape Show, with book by Co-Artistic Director Sam Hood Adrain and music and lyrics by Will Davis. The show will open Today June 24th at the Auditorium at the Providence Public Library, 150 Empire Street, Providence, RI with a cast of professional performers and local young actors.

What Will the Neighbors Say? is excited to announce its upcoming production of Four Sisters, a new play by Co-Artistic Director James Clements. The play examines the lives and deaths of the four daughters of the last Tsar of Russia in the aftermath of the 1917 Revolution. Four Sisters will begin with a preview performance on Tuesday March 21st before opening on Wednesday March 22nd at the Beckman Theatre at the American Theatre for Actors, 314 W 54th St.
