Artistic Director Hal Brooks has announced the 2013 season for Cape Cod Theatre Project, featuring staged readings of new work by Sharr White, Heidi Schreck, Rinne Groff and JC Lee. They will be joined in Falmouth, Massachusetts by writers-in-residence Jackie Sibblies Drury, Andrew Dolan, Halley Feiffer and Academy Award nominee Lucy Alibar.

Today, the renowned nonprofit announced 18 selections for the second sizzling summer lab at The Ground Floor, Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work. During an intense four-week period, dozens of artists will live, dine, create, and collaborate at the Theatre's new campus in West Berkeley.

Soho Rep has announced that the celebrated stage and screen actor Larry Pine will star in the world premiere production of Lucas Hnath's adrenaline-charged odyssey A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney. Directed by Soho Rep Artistic Director Sarah Benson, Pine will play the title character - the man who forever changed the American Dream. Hnath's fictional play centers around the reading of a screenplay Walt Disney has written about his last days on earth. The script is about a city he is going to build that is going to change the world; about his brother; about everyone who loves Disney and how sad they are going to be when he is gone.

New York Theatre Workshop Announces CASEBOOK Program

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that NYTW's production of Sontag: Reborn will serve as the 2012-13 Season Casebook study, which will allow the general audience unprecedented access to the artists and process involved in the creation of a new work as it happens. Casebook - The Making of Sontag: Reborn will take place on 10 consecutive Tuesday evenings starting April 2, 2013. Sontag: Reborn is produced in collaboration with The Builders Association and is based on the book by Susan Sontag and edited by David Rieff, adapted & performed by Moe Angelos and directed by Marianne Weems.

Trinity Rep Raises Over $44,000 for RI Community Food Bank During 2012 Holiday Season

Trinity Rep has announced that during the months of November and December they collected $44,400 in cash donations to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Continuing their longtime practice of acting as a holiday drop-off location for food donations, the theater also concluded each performance of their holiday classic A Christmas Carol with a collection for the Food Bank. The donation was made on behalf of the thousands of Trinity Rep patrons attending the show, the theater's staff and ushers. The partnership between the two institutions has, even through challenging economic times, brought the total dollar amount raised for the Food Bank throughout the seven year partnership to nearly $260,000. Additionally, Trinity Rep is pleased to announce that hey donated 150 tickets to a performance of A Christmas Carol to Food Bank clients and their families, through the Open Access Theater program, generously funded by Citizens Bank.

Trinity Repertory Company announced today that celebrated stage and screen actor Kate Burton will be honored with the 2013 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts at the 17th annual Pell Awards to be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Trinity Rep. The annual fundraising event will be co-chaired by Joe & Michele Madden and Elizabeth 'Beppie' Huidekoper. Mrs. Nuala Pell will serve as the event's honorary chair.
