Blindness, the Donmar Warehouse production of Nobel Prize-winner José Saramago’s dystopian novel written by Tony Award winner Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) and directed by Walter Meierjohann, will begin performances tomorrow at the Daryl Roth Theatre (101 East 15th Street at Union Square East).

STAGES St. Louis has announced the launch of The STAGES Collection, a creative online shopping division. The Collection, consisting of hand­made, one-of-a-kind items designed and built by STAGES artists, will be available to the public on Tuesday, September 1.

In response to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, and after extensive discussions with staff leadership and the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees, STAGES St. Louis will officially postpone the 2020 Mainstage Season to 2021.

Costume designers, seamstresses, and performers with sewing skills have joined the effort to manufacture face masks and other personal protective equipment.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, STAGES St. Louis has chosen to give back to the St. Louis community by making face masks and 'Ear Saver' head bands. More than 250 face masks and 300 head bands have already been built and distributed to donors, local hospitals, and members of the STAGES family.

STAGES St. Louis and the City of Kirkwood are thrilled to announce the naming of the Main Stage Theatre at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center (PAC). Thanks to a very generous gift from Don and Nancy Ross, the theatre will be named The Ross Family Theatre.

A Christmas Carol, which opened on Broadway November 20, 2019, has just broken another box office record at the Lyceum Theatre. Adapted by Jack Thorne and directed by Matthew Warchus, A Christmas Carol grossed $954,054.40 over nine performances for the week ending December 29. It tops the house record previously held by Oh, Hello, the Nick Kroll and John Mulaney comedy that grossed $911,602 for the week ending January 1, 2017.

Local and national talent is set to take center stage at the 29th annual St. Louis Arts Awards on January 27 at the Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta Hotel. The Arts and Education Council has announced that entertainment for their signature fundraiser will include performances by the Ambassadors of Harmony, The 442s with special guest Brian Owens and Broadway stars Caitlin Kinnunen and Beth Leavel.
