PlayPenn, the new play development organization which assisted in the development of the Tony Award-winning international hit OSLO by J.T. Rogers, has announced their 2020 New Play Development Conference Plays and Haas Fellows.

Playwright Gina Femia is the recipient of the 2020 William Inge Theatre Festival's Otis Guernsey New Voices in the American Theatre Award, which recognizes substantial early contributions to the contemporary American stage.

Banned Together is a celebration of songs and scenes from shows that have been censored or challenged on America's stages. Award-winning Boston directors Ilyse Robbins and Weylin Symes helm the reading along with Music Director Matthew Stern, and featuring a cast of Boston-based professional actors. Free and open to the public, no advance tickets are needed.

The Studio 180 production of OSLO, presented as part of the off-Mirvish season, tells the heavily-dramatized story behind the Oslo Accords. Written by J.T. Rogers and directed here by Joel Greenberg, the play receives a minimalistic interpretation of the 1990s backroom negotiations between Palestine and Israel conceptualized and orchestrated by Norwegian academic Terje Rod-Larsen (Blair Williams).
