Japan Society presents Part of the Okinawa in Focus series and the Globus Film Series, Visions of Okinawa: Cinematic Reflections. The screenings of these films are set for May 13th through June 3rd. In-theater screenings are set for May 13th through May 21st. Virtual screenings will run from May 14th through June 3rd. The films will be available to stream in North America or globally. Aaron Sorkin’s hit Broadway adaptation of Harper Lee’s seminal 1960 novel has finally reached us, following Covid delays and a few real-life legal dramas. Lee’s estate sued Sorkin for making changes to the characters, while the since publicly disgraced (and removed) Mockingbird producer Scott Rudin bullied every other adaptation of Lee’s book off the stage.

Tishman Speyer and Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace announced that a new roller skating rink will open at The Rink at Rockefeller Center on April 15, 2022. This latest element of Rockefeller Center’s campus-wide redevelopment is a revival of the Los Angeles-based roller rink and legendary cultural hotspot of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s run by Ian “Flipper” Ross.
