Mamai Announces 2017 Acting Company - performing in a cabaret benefit, CSU's AHA! Festival, and a summer season at Playhouse Square.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 2016-17 season with The Beauty of Ballet, a free lecture demonstration presented by the School of American Ballet (SAB), on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2pm.

Mamai Theatre Company announces its 2017 summer season will take place in downtown Cleveland at Playhouse Square in the Helen Rosenfeld Lewis Bialosky Lab Theatre. Mamai Board of Directors President David Schiopota states, "The steady and unfaltering work of Co-Artistic Directors Bernadette Clemens and Christine McBurney to fulfill their vision and follow their artistic passions has enthused Northeast Ohio audiences and pushed the bounds of classical theatre in Cleveland. I am elated to announce that Mamai Theatre Company's next season will be presented at Playhouse Square."

The NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) today announced results of a survey examining the diversity of staff and leadership at City-funded nonprofit cultural organizations. The survey release marks a major milestone in the agency's initiative to promote and cultivate diversity in the cultural community, building on the de Blasio Administration's commitment to making New York City a more fair and equitable city for every resident. The survey found that while New York City's cultural sector is far more diverse than cultural organizations on the national level, it lags behind the demographic diversity of the city's population.

Playhouse Square and ?Baldwin Wallace University have combined resources to present the regional premiere of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. The production will be at Playhouse Square's Helen Rosenfeld Lewis Bialosky Lab Theatre and will run this weekend, May 1-3, 2015.

The show will be directed by Victoria Bussert and choreographed by Gregory Daniel, with music direction by David Pepin.

By audience demand, Cleveland Play House has added an extra performance of The Philadelphia Story. This special Sunday matinee performance will take place on March 1 at 3pm.

The Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University presents Pretty Raw: After and Around Helen Frankenthaler, a groundbreaking exhibition that reconsiders the history of modern art and its renewed meaning for contemporary artists, February 11 - June 7, 2015, in the Foster Gallery. An opening reception will be held from 5-8pm tonight, February 10.
