Dan Amboyer Tapped For Reading Of Jason Forbach's Play HEATHEN HILL

Currently appearing in The Phantom of the Opera, actor and writer Jason Forbach will receive the Hidden River Arts Playwriting Award on September 9th alongside a 29 hour industry-only reading of his play, Heathen Hill. The reading will be directed by Kevin Newbury (Bel Canto, Kansas City Choir Boy) and will star Dan Amboyer (Younger). Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Curio Theatre Company Finishes 12th Season with Peeoplykus' Hilarious THE MASSIVE TRAGEDY OF MADAME BOVARY

Curio Theatre Company closes its 13th Season with the North American premiere of Peeoplykus' adaptation of Gustave Flaubert's classic novel Madam Bovary. In 2013, Curio Theatre Company had a hit in its hilarious production of Hound of Baskerville adapted by Peepolykus (pronounced people-like-us), UK's most exciting touring theatre company. The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary runs April 26-May 20. Opening Night is Friday April 28. All shows are at Curio Theatre Company's Black Box at the Calvary Center for Culture and Community, 4740 Baltimore Ave. Shows are performed Thursday-Saturday night at 8 p.m. The First Preview is Wednesday, April 26. Aurora Theatre Company proudly opens its 25th anniversary season with a revival of the play that started it all, DEAR MASTER. Joy Carlin (The How and The Why, Talley's Folly, Jack Goes Boating) helms this elegant portraitfeaturing Bay Area favorite Michael Ray Wisely (The Letters, The Arsonists) and Aurora's first leading lady Kimberly King (Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance), wife of Aurora co-founder Ken Grantham, who played Flaubert in the original production. Washington Concert Opera Sets 30th Anniversary Season

Washington Concert Opera is proud to announce its 2016-2017 lineup, which marks the organization's 30th anniversary. WCO begins its season with a special 30th Anniversary Concert on September 18th, followed by a performance of Massenet's Herodiade on on November 20th and ending on March 5th, 2017 with Beethoven's Leonore. Emma Fielding will play the title role of Emma Bovary in The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary! this spring. The production which will open at the Everyman from 5 to 27 February will then play at co-producing partners Bristol Old Vic, Nuffield, Southampton and Royal & Derngate, Northampton. Joining Fielding will be John Nicholson and Javier Marzan of Peepolykus and Jonathan Holmes who have the unenviable challenge of playing all the remaining roles in Flaubert's epic tale.

The Everyman & Playhouse's 2016 spring season will feature love, loyalty, betrayal, oppression, transcendence, motherhood, brotherhood, tragedy and comedy. Gemma Bodinetz will direct a new adaptation of Madame Bovary with Peepolykus at the Everyman, while at the Playhouse there will be a major revival of Frank McGuinness's Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme. There are also partnerships with National Theatre of Scotland and Told By An Idiot on I Am Thomas, and DaDaFest and Turf Love for Unsung, a new production about Liverpool radical Edward Rushton.
