Asolo Rep announced today that one of the plays originally named as part of its 2020-21 season has been taken out of the lineup.

Asolo Repertory Theatre and the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training announced their 2020-21 seasons today in a virtual event broadcast via Facebook and YouTube Live.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley presents the Northern California Premiere of Laurel Ollstein's They Promised Her the Moon. Last night, supporters of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley gathered to hear the 2019 Regional Theatre Tony Award-winning company and its Board of Trustees announce the launch of its 50th Anniversary Campaign, a $5 million fundraising campaign to ensure the future success of the nationally-acclaimed theatre, including commissions for new plays and musicals. 

Through this reading series, original plays and musicals from emerging and established playwrights are developed and produced. The next play of the 2019-20 season is HITCH by James McLindon.

Stars of stage and screen, playwrights, composers, and supporters of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley came together Saturday, November 2, 2019 to celebrate the acclaimed regional theatre at And the Tony Award Goes To…Celebrating TheatreWorks at 50, a once-in-a-lifetime event honoring the company's half-century and its 2019 Regional Theatre Tony® Award. Some 480 guests attended this extraordinary event which raised nearly $800,000 for TheatreWorks marking it the most attended and most successful fundraiser in the company's history. ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE (EST) announces its 2019/2020 season. The season will commence in October 2019 with the world premiere of GEORGIA MERTCHING IS DEAD, a new play by Catya McMullen(Agnes) and directed by Giovanna Sardelli (Describe The Night), presented by EST's Youngblood (Graeme Gillis and RJ Tolan, Co-Artistic Directors) and Radio Drama Network (Melina Brown, President).

Dorset Theatre Festival, under the leadership of Artistic Director Dina Janis and Producing Director Will Rucker, will begin performances of Mrs. Christie, the second World Premiere production of the 42nd Season, on August 1, 2019. The play is written by Heidi Armbruster and has been developed in the Festival's acclaimed Women Artists Writing Group since 2016.
