Directed and choreographed by Gary John La Rosa, with music direction by Artistic Director Michael Berkeley, The Sound of Music opens tonight, August 9 and runs through August 26, 2012. Barrington Stage Company features Tony nominee Brad Oscar in the role of the beloved dairyman Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, running through July 14, kicking off the theater's 18th season in the Berkshires. Joanna Glushak (Sweet Smell of Success) plays Golde. The production is directed and choreographed by Gary John LaRosa, with music direction by Darren R. Cohen.

Fiddler on the Roof, kicks off Barrington Stage Company's 2012 Mainstage Season for a five week run from June 13 through July 14. The award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield celebrates its 18th season in the Berkshires under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director. Directed and choreographed by Gary John La Rosa, with music direction by Darren R. Cohen, Fiddler on the Roof will have an official opening night on Sunday, June 17 at 5pm.

TriArts Sharon Playhouse (Sharon, CT) today announced its 2012 Season. The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas runs June 28 - July 15 and will be directed by John Simpkins, whose recent credits include three time Drama Desk nominated Bloodsong of Love (by Joe Iconis) and Jim Lantz's play The Bus, which ran last fall at 59E59 Theatres. MK Lawson returns as choreographer, after doing the same for TriArts' productions of Rent and The Wedding Singer. Music Direction is by Rob Rokicki (Hairspray at the Engeman).

Casting for the 61st Music Circus season has been completed. After auditioning performers in New York, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre Artistic Director Glenn Casale has finalized the acting company for the seven-show season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion, including The Producers, Oliver!, Anything Goes, Camelot, Annie Get Your Gun, I Do! I Do! and Miss Saigon.

Theatre By The Sea announces Equity Performer Auditions (Principal/Chorus) by appointment for its Summer 2009 Season. Performers must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates. There are two Equity Principal contracts and two Equity Chorus contracts available in each show. All roles are open for the following productions:
4th Annual Kevin Kline Award Nominees Announced

Twenty-one St. Louis theater companies are represented in the nominations for the fourth annual Kevin Kline Awards. Forty-two plays and musicals produced in the St. Louis area during 2008 now share 113 nominations in 22 different categories for the coveted award. The nominations were announced on KWMU-FM's 'Cityscape' today, January 16th, 2009. The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis received the most nominations, 32, divided among seven different productions that were presented on its mainstage, and in both the Studio and Off-Ramp series. The Muny was the second-highest recipient, with 15 nominations. Stages St. Louis was the third theater to receive double-digit nominations, with 13.
The satirical comedy The Little Dog Laughed, which was produced by the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis as part of its Off-Ramp series, received the most nominations (8), followed by seven nominations for My Fair Lady at the Muny.
Eighty-two actors, directors, choreographers, playwrights and designers received nominations. Six artists received multiple nominations.
