Collektor opens Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind in the Bullitt Cabaret space of ACT Theatre Thursday, September 8, 2011. This is the first production of the recently formed production company, Collektor, with Rob West serving as director and a talented cast of esteemed local designers and actors.

The Seattle Repertory Theatre has announced casting for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. Of the 23 roles cast so far, 21 have been filled by Seattle performers, ranging from up-and-comers like Troy Fischnaller and Alexandra Tavares to long-time staples like Charles Leggett, Sea?n G. Griffin, Todd Jefferson Moore and Suzanne Bouchard. Additionally, five of the eight directors are local, as are many of the designers.

Intiman Theatre continues its 2010 Season with The Thin Place, a commissioned world premiere written by Sonya Schneider and conceived and directed by Intiman Associate Producer Andrew Russell.

And while a tad preachy at times, the show makes me wish that half of the new emerging voices in the theater community (both in Seattle and abroad) were as engaging and fresh as Timm.

The world premiere of Maureen Whiting Company?s Myth of Me and You heralds a new era of contemporary dance presentations at ACT. Created during a year-long residency supported and presented by ACT?s innovative Central Heating Lab, this highly conceptual new work shines an intense light on our own personal mythologies. Myth of Me and You premieres in ACT?s Allen Theatre March 13?15, 2009.
