The Theatre School at DePaul University has announced the 2013-2014 season. Founded as the Goodman School of Drama in 1925, The Theatre School presents public programming as a professional extension of the classroom. Under the leadership of an award-winning faculty and staff, theatre artists from all disciplines collaborate during their final years of training to create a full and diverse season of programming.

Stage Left Studio, 214 W. 30th Street, is celebrating its third Drama Desk nominated show, Tom Gualtieri and Heather Hill's That Play: A Solo Macbeth, with added performances May 2, 9, 11, 14, 15, 16 & 25 at 7:30pm. Nominated this year for 'Unique Theatrical Experience' THAT PLAY has enjoyed a long run in New York City and continued rave reviews from both critics and audience.

Margaret Morrison's HOME IN HER HEART will open at Stage Left Studio tonight, October 16 and run through December 17. The play with music originally opened last April as part of Cheryl King's 2012 Left Out Festival.

FRANK WOMEN returns for a special performance tonight, September 23rd at 7:30 pm, as part of the 7th Annual Women At Work Festival at Stage Left Studio.

Actress, owner and artistic managing director of Stage Left Studio, Cheryl King, performs the one-woman play, Grapefruit, about the life of late opera singer and playwright, Sally Lambert, who was to appear in the show herself until unfortunately succumbing to cancer shortly prior to its opening. While King executes a stellar acting performance under the fine direction of Theresa Gambacorta, some of the material is wrought with political and governmental rhetoric, and turns Grapefruit somewhat sour.

During the German occupation of Denmark in World War II, the Nazis closed down Jewish-owned businesses and began to round up the Jews for relocation to concentration camps. Danish freedom fighters of all ages risked everything in daring, hurried attempts to rescue the entire Jewish population. In this stirring play, young Annemarie and Kirsti Johansen face soldiers, interrogations, personal danger, the loss of loved ones and their own fears as they try to help their friend Ellen Rosen escape across the ocean to Sweden. Number the Stars, a national best seller (and winner of the Newberry Award and the American Library Association Book of the Year Award) by author Lois Lowry (The Giver).

'THE VEGAS PROJECT', a solo play written and performed by Theresa Gambacorta and directed by Cheryl King will run at STAGE LEFT STUDIO, 214, WEST 30th ST 6th FLOOR for two Wednesday night performances, as part of THE WOMEN AT WORK FESTIVAL.

In cooperation with the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, Cape May Stage announces several exhilarating events in conjunction with the 14th Annual Family Week at the Theatre and Stages Festival. Family Week, an annual statewide program, begins March 6th and runs through March 13, 2011.
