From Geoff Sobelle’s website, we learn that “FOOD is an intimate dinner party performance that uses smell, taste, touch and audience instruction to feed a meditation on the ways and whys of eating. Why do you eat what you eat? Where does it come from? What does it really cost?” I quote it here, because it is entirely accurate. But that only cracks the surface of this deep performance piece that nudges us toward contemplation of the evolution of food and mankind.

The Plano Symphony Orchestra (PSO) continues its 41st Season, Out of this World, with An Interplanetary Experience. The concert is a multi-media musical exploration featuring award-winning accordionist Sofía Ros performing Piazzolla's Concerto for Bandoneón and Orchestra. Also joining the PSO will be the Plano Civic Chorus Women's Choir, with the evening's celestial journey concluding with Holst's beloved suite The Planets.
tanzmainz Comes to Danse Danse This Month

tanzmainz, the German Staatstheater Mainz's contemporary dance company, makes its Montreal debut at Danse Danse with Soul Chain, a new work by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar, also presented here for the first time. Presented January 23 to 27, 2024 at Théâtre Maisonneuve of the Place des Arts.
