The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera previously announced Alan Silvestri will be the special guest film music composer for the 2014 Chattanooga International Film Music Festival, being held today, February 28 through March 2, 2014 in Chattanooga, TN.

The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera's 2014 Chattanooga International Film MusicFestival, being held February 28 through March 2, will feature award-winning film composer Alan Silvestri. Registrations for the entire weekend Festival are open through February 14 at www.chattfilmmusic.org.

Alan Silvestri has scored over 80 films, including Back to the Future and its sequels, Predator, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, A Night at the Museum, Captain America and The Avengers. Silvestri was nominated for both an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Forrest Gump and The Polar Express. He has won three Grammy Awards for his work on The Bodyguard, Cast Away and Polar Express.

The University of Georgia has approved four new members of the George Foster Peabody Awards Board. Joining other distinguished experts who select television and radio's most coveted prize are Doreen Ringer Ross of Los Angeles, Barbie Zelizer of Philadelphia, Maureen Ryan of Chicago and Steve Bryant of London.
