The Edgerton Foundation (Los Angeles, California) has announced the first round of its 2009 New American Plays Award, recognizing exceptional new projects across the country. An organization whose mission is to encourage the development of original works of American Theatre, the Edgerton Foundation has awarded $1.5 million in support since its inception in 2006.

PNT Community Challenge Campaign Surpasses Expectations

The staff and board of directors at Performance Network Theatre have been overwhelmed these past two weeks by the outpouring of generosity and concern from new and continuing donors! Board President David Herzig said, ?This challenge campaign has reinforced the importance of arts organizations, large and small, to the residents of Ann Arbor. It proves that our citizens care deeply about the quality of life in their community. This was a real wake-up call to many arts patrons that something they had taken for granted might no longer be in existence?

PNT Receives Outpouring Of Support In Responce To $20,000 Challenge Grant

In an outpouring of community support, Performance Network has received $23,000 in new and increased donations after announcing it needed to raise $40,000 by April 15th. Gifts of all sizes have come in from $1 and up. Generous donors are calling with donations and pledges and contributing through the PNT website. The show of support from the community has been overwhelming ? heartfelt expressions of what PNT has meant to them resulting in heartwarming appreciation by the staff tabulating all the donations! As of 5 pm today, April 10 - $23,252 has been donated or pledged to the community challenge.

PNT Hosts $20K Challenge To Save Their Theater, $40K Needed To Keep Open
