Amphibian Stage Productions announces the cast and creative team for its third main stage play of the 2017 season, The Bible: The Complete Word of God (Abridged) by Adam Long, Reed Martin, and Austin Tichenor. Starring Aaron Fouhey, Brandon Murphy, and Scott Zenreich, the play runs Friday, July 7 through Sunday, August 13 at the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions.

Following a successful and ongoing subscription campaign, the Peterborough Players will begin selling single tickets to all of the shows in the 2017 Summer Season on May 15.

With the success of their Inaugural Winter Season, 2017 has already been a special year for the Peterborough Players. But not known to rest on their laurels, the Players have announced a Summer Season that is sure to delight the thousands that attend their theatre each summer. And at the heart of the season is their first big musical in years. David Davalos's WITTENBERG requires a performance of mastery equal to the writing. The cast of Southwest Shakespeare Company's current production, astutely directed by Kent Burnham, more than rises to the challenge. Here's an ensemble devoutly to be wished, teeming with comedic energy and versatility ~ David Dickinson as Faustus, Marshall Glass as Luther, William Wilson as Hamlet, and Allison Sell as The Eternal Feminine.

Amphibian Stage Productions (Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director) has announced the cast and creative team for its first main stage play of the 2016 season, Isaac's Eye by Lucas Hnath. Featuring actors Michael Linden, Greg Holt, Patrick Bynane, and Ashlee Elizabeth Bashore, the play will run Thursday, February 11 through Sunday, March 6 at the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions.

On the heels of its critically acclaimed, record-breaking 2014 season, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival gets underway with two perennial Shakespeare favorites: Othello and the beloved comedy Much Ado About Nothing will open in the Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre in June. The Shakespeare Theatre presents the New Jersey premiere of the award-winning play WITTENBERG by David Davalos, in which he ingeniously manipulates time and space to unite an unusual trio-Doctor Faustus, Martin Luther, and Hamlet-for a witty and provocative debate about faith, fate, existence, and tennis. The 'big questions,' the enigmas that eternally puzzle mankind, are given clever and delightfully quirky forum in this contemporary riff on the age-old and eternal conudrums. 'Wittenberg' by David Davalos is having its New Jersey Premiere at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Directed by Joseph Discher, performances start on September 10th. Broadwayworld.com had the opportunity to interview Davalos about the play and his career.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, one of the nation's leading classic theatres, will present a staged reading of The Physicists by Friedrich Durrenmatt, translated by James Kirkup, and directed by Brian B. Crowe as part of the Lend Us Your Ears Reading Series on September 22 at 7 p.m. The play explores the notion that the quest for new discoveries and knowledge often comes at a dear cost, with high stake responsibilities and consequences. The Reading Series offers audiences the opportunity to join Shakespeare Theatre directors, actors, and artistic staff as they explore diverse and compelling plays. Performances begin September 10 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue in Madison. Tickets start at $25 for preview performances and $32 for regular performances. Lewiston's Public Theatre ended its 2013-2014 season with Ron Hutchinson's slapstick sendup about the script writing of Gone with the Wind, Moonlight and Magnolias. Premiered in 2004, the play imagines the tense week in which the legendary producer, David O. Selznick, effectively kidnaps his new writer, newsman Ben Hecht, and director, Victor Fleming, demanding that the trio rewrite and rescue his floundering epic picture. The ensuing antics in this broad and boisterous comedy are wild and frenzied - almost a Three Stooges routine with barely a moment to catch a breath.
