According to Deadline, Meg Ryan has been tapped to voice the older version of Greta Gerwig's Sally in CBS' How I Met Your Mother spin-off, HOW I MET YOUR DAD. Saget provided the 'aged' voice of Josh Radnor in the original series, which just wrapped its nine-season run on the network.

TVLine has revealed the leading characters of the long-running series' spin-off, aptly titled HOW I MET YOUR DAD. The spin-off comes from HIMYM creators and producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, along with Emily Spivey (Up All Night).

After 208 episodes told over nine seasons, the story of how Ted Mosby ultimately meets his children's mother will conclude with a special one-hour series finale on Monday, March 31 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). The How I Met Your Mother finale will be followed immediately by the series premiere of the new comedy FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT).

The HOW I MET YOUR... franchise will officially be growing. Deadline reports that CBS has made a deal with 20th Century Fox TV for a pilot order of HOW I MET YOUR DAD, a spin-off of the network's long-running sticom How I Met Your Mother. The new series will be told from the female point of view.
