Peri Mauer's THOUGHT'S TORSION Set for Symphony Space Gala, 6/4

THOUGHT'S TORSION, composer Peri Mauer's trio for flute, viola, and cello will be performed at Symphony Space on June 4, 2016, by Michael Laderman flute, Gregor Kitzis viola, and ArthurCook cello in a New York Composer's Circle Gala Concert. Symphony Space is located at250 West 95th St., NYC. York Theatre Company to Launch Spring Developmental Reading Series

The York Theatre Company and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series will present staged readings of three new musicals: A Tale of Two Cities, with book, music and lyrics by Wendy Kesselman, Platinum, with lyrics and music by Will Holt and Gary William Friedman, and book by Stevie Holland with Gary William Friedman, and The Fitzgeralds of Saint Paul, with book, music and lyrics by Christie Baugher, at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

WSFS Bank Southern Delaware Branches Donate to Clear Space Theatre Company

Southern Delaware branches of WSFS Bank presented Clear Space Theatre Company a donation of $1,000.00 to help underwrite the programmatic costs of Clear Space's Arts Institute, which provides arts education programming to students of all ages.

Clear Space Receives Grant from Mid-Del Charitable Foundation

On November 16, 2015, at the Harrington Raceway and Casino, Clear Space Theatre Company received a grant from the Mid-Del Charitable Foundation. The Foundation, developed to consolidate the charitable undertakings of The Delaware State Fair, Inc. and Harrington Raceway, Inc., supports Delaware-based organizations and charitable, educational, and scientific endeavors which address the wide range of issues, including: health and human services, the arts, agriculture, education, and the environment.

Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Players to Perform at City Winery, 10/25

Following the success of its first series at City Winery in the 2014-15 season, cp2 (Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Players) returns to the venue for a fall series pairing unique mixed instrumental groups with vocalists. Three one-hour programs at noon on October 25, November 22, and December 20 each feature a different singer showcasing styles including classical, soul, and jazz. Brunch will be available for purchase before and during the performances, and patrons are encouraged to dress casually.

IlluminArts presents immersive musical performance in conjunction with LISTEN TO THIS BUILDING: A collaboration by Exile Books, the Miami Center for Architecture and Design, and the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind. Called SONGS OF THE CITY, SONGS IN THE DARK, the concert is set for tonight, October 1, 2015 from 6:30PM to 8:30 PM at the Miami Center for Architecture and Design, 100 NE 1st Avenue, Miami, FL 33132.

New Brew Performs Select Scenes From: The Curse of the Rat King: Trav S.D. (libretto) and David Mallamud (music) have been collaborating on this campy comic opera since 2010. It is a post-modern mash-up of Universal horror films, The Pied Piper of Hamelin, the operas of Gilbert and Sullivan, the writings of Sigmund Freud, and numerous other elements. On the bill with him will be selections from Three Way, by David Cote (libretto) and Robert Paterson (music), which has been described as “a kind of NC-17 Il trittico”, and two works with lyrics by UTC#61's Edward Einhorn: The Velvet Oratorio (music by Henry Akona) and Money Lab (music by Avner Finberg).

Called 'Vocal Canvas' by its creator Claudia Hommel, the multilayered, multimedia performance tour de force is the collaborative work of an A-list of Chicago's dynamic entertainers and artists past and present.
