The Ford's Theatre 2011-2012 season continues with 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens and adapted by Michael Wilson, November 18 to December 31, 2011.

David Mirvish will present an explosive new musical comedy in Toronto this spring. Bring It On: The Musical will play for a strictly limited engagement, May 2 - June 3, 2012 at the Canon Theatre.

After a nationwide search of over 3,000 performers, the producers of Bring It On: The Musical are pleased to announce the cast for the National Tour which launches at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles on October 30.

While critics and fans alike justifiably lament the paucity of female leads in Broadway musicals this season just past, you need look no further than the current tour of The Color Purple for a musical filled to overflowing with noteworthy women characters. Despite the treacherous forecast in the Washington area, the originally scheduled performance of 'A Christmas Carol' will go on today, December 20, with a 2:30 matinee and a 7:30 evening performance.

Ford's Theatre has canceled both performances of 'A Christmas Carol' for Saturday, December 19, 2009. As per a statement from the theatre, 'We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change, but we felt it to be in the best interest of our patrons and staff. A decision regarding Sunday's performances will be announced tomorrow.'

UK Theatre website WhatsOnStage.com has revealed that producer David Ian tipped off his plans to bring the popular former Broadway, now US Touring musical, Xanadu to the UK. Speaking on Radio Five Live, Ian hinted that a UK transfer will be 'coming to a stage near you in August' - by which WhatsOnStage assumes is the West End.
