Wrap up your holidays with a little merry murder alongside the D'Ysquiths!

Two added performances of LYPSINKA! THE BOXED SET have just been added to the schedule: Sunday, December 21 at 7 PM and Sunday, December 28 at 3 PM.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Carole Shelley and Catherine Walker just took over the roles of 'Miss Shingle' and 'Phoebe D'Ysquith' in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical. New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, this summer celebrating the 30th year of their Powerhouse Theater collaboration, presents the Powerhouse Theater Season, running from today, June 20 to July 27 at Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, New York).

Norm Lewis - the Tony Award nominated leading man who will soon make history as the first African-American Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway- will play the title role in a special industry reading of Mandela: A New Musical with book, music and lyrics by Steven M. Fisher on Monday, March 31 at 3:00 PM. It will be directed by David Glenn Armstrong with Music Direction by Micah Young.

Wicked certainly has an interesting reputation among theatergoers. Some theater fanatics love the show. Others hate it. I've always found myself somewhere in the middle. Wicked certainly has both flaws and merits, but to those who only see its flaws, I have this observation to share. Of all the long running shows currently on Broadway, there are only three that feature more than one female lead. Of those three shows, only one involves female leads who aren't merry murderesses and aren't singing ABBA tunes. So kudos to Wicked, and kudos to the touring production currently in Austin for making it easier to see the shows merits and more difficult to see the show's flaws.

On Wednesday, October 30th, the blockbuster musical, WICKED, will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Broadway, a milestone achieved by only ten other Broadway productions in history. The creative team and many of the musical's previous cast members will celebrate WICKED's first decade with a special performance, followed by a company party, on October 30th at 7:00pm. BroadwayWorld will be counting down to the milestone with daily flashbacks of WICKED's biggest events, most memorable cast members, and best performances. Billy Elliot the Musical today announced a new performance schedule. Beginning September 5, the show will now play Tuesday at 7pm, Thursday - Sunday at 7:30pm, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday at 2pm; dark Mondays.

Billy Elliot the Musical is the joyous celebration of one boy's journey to make his dreams come true. Set in a small town, the story follows Billy as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a surprising talent that inspires his family and his whole community and changes his life forever.

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today that Giuseppe Bausilio will join the cast of the 10-time Tony Award winning Billy Elliot the Musical in the role of ‘Billy'. Bausilio started his journey as one of the original ‘Billys' in the Chicago production of Billy Elliot. He went on to join the national touring production and has played 'Billy' in 10 cities across the country since the tour began in October 2010. Bausilio will be the fourteenth ‘Billy' to perform on Broadway. Current ‘Billy' Jacob Clemente will play his final performance Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 7:30pm. Bausilio's first performance will be announced soon.

AracaWorks presents a reading series of new plays by David Brian Colbert, Lucy Kirkwood, Emily Chadick Weiss, and Anna Ziegler. Set to particiate are: Christiane Noll, Ian Kahn, Molly Ephraim, Condola Rashad, Carole Shelley, Tracee Chimo, Diane Davis, Janet Zarish, Jay Liebman, Emily Bergle, Lucas Near-Verbrugghe, Jeremy Webb, Aaron Serotsky, and John Rothman.
