The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and MEG Presents announced today that tickets for 70s Soul Jam featuring The Whispers, Delfonics and Chi-Lites will go on sale Friday, September 22 at 10 a.m. Three of R&B music's most beloved and consistently popular vocal groups, The Whispers, Delfonics and Chi-Lites, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Majestic Theatre in downtown Dallas.

The New School's College of Performing Arts is pleased to welcome the public for the second edition of its new (Un)Silent Film Night series, in which the College of Performing Arts Theater Orchestra, under the baton ofGary Fagin, will perform contemporary composer Carl Davis' score to Harold Lloyd's classic silent film Speedy (1928). Celebrated actor and comedian Bill Irwin will host the event, a follow-up to the April 2015 debut of (Un)SilentFilm Night, which was hosted by Matthew Broderick and drew a capacity crowd to the 400-plus-seat Tishman Auditorium at University Center.

Last night, Houston Ballet presented the American Premiere performance of David Bintley's spellbinding ALADDIN. The ballet, commissioned by National Ballet of Japan, had its World Premiere on November 15, 2008. For this opulent and mesmerizing theatrical treat, choreographer David Bintley pulls his inspiration from the original story; however, his ballet stills delivers everything fans of the 1992 Disney film expect from the story.

Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch has announced the company's 2013-2014 season. Eight new works enter Houston Ballet's repertoire, including world premieres by James Kudelka, Garrett Smith and Melissa Hough in September 2013; the North American premiere of David Bintley's Aladdin in February 2014; company premieres of Jiri Kylian's Sechs Tanze, Christopher Bruce's Intimate Pages and Stanton Welch's Of Blessed Memory as well as a world premiere A Young Person's Guide to Orchestra by Mr. Welch in March 2014.
