After a completely sold-out run in February, the popular improvisers behind Clued-In: An Improvised Murder Mystery has been invited back to The Beat Lounge in the Second City Training Center for an open run starting Saturday, May 14. The Beat Lounge is one of Second City's newest performance spaces, and will be a place for young talent to create humorous productions that are experimental, innovative and hilarious. One such show is an improv performance that is so challenging...it's murder.

Sideshow Theatre Company is pleased to announce its full 2014/15 Season, beginning this fall with the Midwest premiere of Aaron Posner's comic spin on Chekhov's The Seagull, STUPID f**kING BIRD, directed by artistic director Jonathan L. Green. In March 2015, the season continues with Anne Carson's ANTIGONICK, a modern re-imagining of the Greek tragedy Antigone, also directed by Green and choreographed by Katie Spelman. The season concludes next spring with the rolling world premiere (with Fresh Ink Theatre in Boston) of CHALK, a sci-fi fable by ensemble member Walt McGough, directed by ensemble member Megan A. Smith. All three productions will be presented at Chicago's Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave., where Sideshow continues its multi-year residency. Renowned New Zealand actor Mark Hadlow (Dori from The Hobbit) returns home to The Court in a tightly wrought drama of interwoven connections, understandings and mysteries. When the Rain Stops Falling is a compelling family saga that reverberates through four generations of one family moving from the claustrophobia of a 1950s London flat to the heart of the Australian desert in 2039. The stand out international play is epic in its scope, yet at the same time exceptionally intimate.

At its 38th annual celebration of Chicago's non-union theatre scene, the Jeff Awards honored 27 award recipients for excellence Monday evening at the Park West. The event, emceed by Circle Theatre's Kevin Bellie for the second consecutive year, featured production numbers by the nominated musicals and presentation of awards, two of which were delivered by robots. The robots, created for Sideshow Theatre Company's 'Heddatron,' earned their creators an award for Robot Design and Engineering in the Artistic Specialization category, shared with Izumi Inaba, who received an award for makeup design for 'Cats' at Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre in association with Michael James.

The play, directed by Sideshow artistic director Jonathan L. Green, is one of Sideshow's most ambitious projects to date, both for its artistic and technical challenges, and will conclude Sideshow's 2010-2011 season. Heddatron will run in repertory for 11 weeks starting February 11 through April 24, 2011, in Steppenwolf's Merle Reskin Garage Theatre, 1624 N. Halsted St.
