ShakesBEER by the New York Shakespeare Exchange announced their September dates for entertaining pub crawls in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. Join the merriment on Saturday, September 12th and Saturday, September 19th.

New York Shakespeare Exchange, creator of the viral smash The Sonnet Project, is thrilled to announce their return to Hell's Kitchen for their September ShakesBEER. NYC's original Shakespearean pub-crawl takes place on Saturday, September 12 and Saturday, September 19.

The Old Globe's presentation of Kiss Me, Kate, the classic musical comedy featuring a book by Sam and Bella Spewack and an iconic score by Cole Porter, will now add a week by popular demand and run through August 9 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets for the extension will go on sale this Sunday, July 12 at noon.

Director Darko Tresnjak, who won big with A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER on Broadway last season, has masterminded another Broadway-style musical confection with his new production of KISS ME KATE at the Hartford Stage Company.

New York Shakespeare Exchange (Ross Williams, Artistic Director) is thrilled to announce that The Sonnet Project hits the 100th film milestone on April 8 with the release of Sonnet 27 (Weary with toil, I haste me to my bed...), starring Carrie Preston and directed by Michael Dunaway. The sonnet was filmed on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge between Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road) plays Berenger in Eugene Ionesco's The Killer in a production that also features Kristine Nielsen, Paul Sparksand Robert Stanton. The Killer is newly translated by Michael Feingold and is directed by Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder). Last produced Off-Broadway in 1960, The Killer is the final production of Theatre for a New Audience's inaugural season at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place.
