Shucked has announced it will close on Broadway Sunday, January 14, 2024. A North American tour will launch Fall 2024, as well as productions in London’s West End at a Cameron Mackintosh theater Winter of 2025, and in Sydney, Australia in the Spring of 2026.

A new acoustic performance video for GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Lori McKenna’s song, “The Town In Your Heart,” is debuting now. Filmed at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A, the video features McKenna alongside frequent collaborator, Hillary Lindsey. Produced by Cobb (Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell) and recorded at his studio in Savannah, GA, 1988 is named for the year McKenna married her husband, Gene.

The music video for Brandy Clark’s collaboration with Brandi Carlile, is out now. Cast members from Shucked will perform at a special event at Pop Up Grocer, in partnership with a new snack, Pipcorn.

“Wonder Drug” is from McKenna’s new album, 1988, which was released earlier this summer via CN Records/Thirty Tigers. Produced by Cobb (Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell) and recorded at his studio in Savannah, GA, 1988 is named for the year McKenna married her husband, and serves as a love letter to her family and lifelong friendships. Watch the video!

The lineup includes performances by Carlile, Janelle Monae, Sarah McLachlan, Lucius, Allison Russell, Celisse, KT Tunstall, Wendy & Lisa, corook, Monica Martin, Tish Melton, SistaStrings and SmallTown Strings as well as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Brandy Clark and Kim Richey guest starring as “Titans of Americana” for a special songwriters round. 

Isabella McCalla made her debut in Shucked earlier than planned! McCalla was set to begin performances as Maizy on September 8, but made her debut on September 6, according to an Instagram post. Learn more about Shucked here!

Isabelle McCalla, who has originated roles in The Prom, Hercules, and Water For Elephants, will begin performances as ‘Maizy,’ the small-town girl with medium-sized city dreams, in Shucked, Broadway’s homegrown hit musical comedy, on Friday, September 8 at the Nederlander Theatre. Shucked will be pausing all stage dooring until further notice, according to an announcement made via Instagram stories on Wednesday. The post read: 'In an abundance of caution all post-show stage door activities at Shucked have been paused until further notice. We appreciate your support and can't wait to see you at the Nederlander soon.'
