The Paley Center for Media today announced that it will host the New York premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants 3. Part of the PaleyLive Summer Season, the premiere will take place on Tuesday, July 30 at 5:30 pm and will be immediately followed by a discussion with members of the cast and creative team.

'Descendants 3,' the third movie in Disney's global smash franchise, is set to premiere on FRIDAY, AUG. 2 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW.

The most wonderful season of the year takes over ABC and Disney Channel with star-studded TV specials as Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line transform into magical winter wonderlands filled with seasonal attractions and joyful entertainment. During the specials, viewers will also get exclusive looks at upcoming attractions and experiences coming to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California.

After last year's successful company-wide “25 Days of Christmas” programming event, Disney|ABC Television will again be the TV destination for all must-see holiday programming by bringing holiday cheer across all of their channels. The coming-of-age 80s comedy “Pitching Tents” by indie production company Meritage Pictures ('Take Me Home,' '20 Weeks') is set to debut on Hulu June 1st, and the title is also available for purchase on popular VOD platforms.  

Marvel's most popular superhero, Spider-Man, returns in an all-new action-packed season when 'Marvel's Spider-Man' season two debuts with a one-hour telecast featuring back-to-back episodes, MONDAY, JUNE 18 (6:30 p.m. EDT), on Disney XD, DisneyNOW and Disney XD VOD. Following the premiere weekend, new episodes will debut every Monday through August. Season two will feature higher stakes and epic battles as Spidey faces-off against new heroes and villains, some of which are voiced by exciting guest stars, including Sofia Carson (Disney's 'Descendants'), Booboo Stewart (Disney's 'Descendants'), Nathaniel Potvin ('MECH-X4'), NASCAR racer Ryan Blaney and social media sensation Teala Dunn.

Cheyenne Jackson ('American Horror Story') has been cast in Disney's 'Descendants 3,' in the role of Hades, the nefarious underworld ruler from the 1997 Disney animated musical comedy film 'Hercules.' Jackson, who began his career as a theatrical actor including starring roles in Broadway productions 'All Shook Up' and 'Xanadu' among others, starred in multiple seasons of 'American Horror Story' and has had roles in over 40 television series and films. The trequel is set to begin production shortly for a scheduled debut in 2019.

Beautiful and prim Audrey, the daughter of Princess Aurora 'Sleeping Beauty', is back and actress Sarah Jeffery is set to once again play her in 'Descendants 3' the highly- anticipated third movie in a trilogy about the teenage sons and daughters of Disney's MOST INFAMOUS villains. 'Descendants' (2015) and &'Descendants 2' (2017) were each the #1 cable movie for the respective years among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, and both rank among Disney Channel's Top 10 original movies of all time. A legion of “Descendants” fans received confirmation of the long-awaited news of a “Descendants 3” movie tonight, via an interstitial that aired during a programming event for Disney's “ZOMBIES” on Disney Channel. The intriguing message, featuring “Mal” (daughter of Maleficent), alludes to a new villain character – Mal's father – joining the hugely popular story of the teenage sons and daughters of Disney's most infamous villains. Loyal fans have suspected and even demanded a “trequel” and have skillfully tracked clues across social media and the internet of recent pre-production activities in Vancouver, Canada. “Descendants 3” will begin production there in summer for a debut next year on Disney Channel.
