Pacific Symphony presents “The Langston Hughes Project,” a multimedia concert performance of the poet's jazz poem suite titled, Ask Your Mama: Twelve Moods for Jazz. This is Hughes' homage in verse and music to the struggle for artistic and social freedom at home and abroad at the beginning of the 1960s.

For this performance, Ramsey revisits his classic Holiday record 'More Sounds Of Christmas'. One of the best-selling Christmas jazz albums with his classic trio of Redd Holt and Eldee Young. Expect Holiday favorites like 'Winter Wonderland,' 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,' 'Sleigh Ride,' and Lewis' 'Christmas Blues'.

On November 12, 2021 at 8 PM, in-person and virtual audiences are invited to return to the historic venue in Queens to enjoy NEA Jazz Masters: The Music of Thelonious Monk and Horace Silver, celebrating two of the greatest pianists and composers in jazz history.

Fifteen years ago, Flushing Town Hall started the wonderful tradition of welcoming to its stage renowned NEA Jazz Masters, a title bestowed on the world's greatest jazz musicians.

Live music, food trucks, art giveaways — Ucross Foundation is hosting its first-ever festival on Sunday, Aug. 22, from 4-6:30 p.m. As part of Sheridan County's Celebrate the Arts weekend, Music in the Park at Ucross will be a free, family-friendly event held throughout the artist residency campus. 

On October 10, pianist Jeffrey Siegel officially relaunches indoor Hylton Presents performances in Merchant Hall with his concerts with commentary Keyboard Conversations Classics Declassified. Siegel hands off the baton to the Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra on October 30 for their Big Band Era performance Swingin' with the Met.

The 57th annual festival, dedicated to co-founder Dr. Billy Taylor in honor of his 100th Birthday, takes over stages across the city to present a diverse roster of jazz icons and emerging artists.

The ASCAP Foundation announced today that “Songwriters: Next Generation,” a signature program of the Foundation, will showcase the work of emerging ASCAP songwriters and composers in a new virtual format.

The virtual performance is made possible by contributions from ASCAP Foundation donors and by the Bart Howard Estate. Bart Howard (1915 – 2014) was an ASCAP member and the writer of the enduring standard, “Fly Me to the Moon.”
