Drury Lane Theatre continues its 2017-2018 season with the regional premiere of the powerhouse musical tribute to the 1980s, Rock of Ages, with book by Chris D'Arienzo, arrangements and orchestrations by Ethan Popp, directed by Scott Weinstein and choreographed by Stephanie Klemons. Rock of Ages runs now through October 15, 2017 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, has announced additional casting for the 2017 season.

The Miracle Worker will come to a New York City stage for the first time in seven years when the Queens Theatre features the William Gibson work as its sole annual original production.

The Shaker Heights High School Theatre Arts Department presents the thirty-fifth festival of new plays, written, directed, performed and co-produced by students, Stages 35: Shaker New Plays Series, March 15, 16, 17 & 18 at 7 PM with a 9:15 PM show on Friday, March 17 in our intimate black box theatre, Stage 3. Six one-act plays will be presented as part of a full season of theatrical events, which began with Urinetown and concludes with Nevermore: A Spring Ensemble Show, in April.

After a record number of voters in more than 75 regions worldwide, BroadwayWorld is very excited to announce the 2016 St. Louis winners! There are some St. Louis connections in this current production of PETER AND THE STARCATCHER. There's local author Ridley Pearson who, along with Dave Barry, crafted a terribly interesting and arresting 'prequel' to the story of Peter Pan with their entertaining novel Peter and the Starcatcher. The stage version of this tale, written by Rick Elice, is an equally imaginative and inspired effort that utilizes a relatively small cast, with just about everyone playing multiple roles, that takes off at a frenetic pace that captures the same qualities that distinguished the original work. I'd seen a touring version over a year ago, but this production by The St. Louis Repertory Theatre is absolutely amazing. It just seems fresher, more touching, and more joyful. I highly recommend this show, as it appeals to families with humor and heart that anyone old or young can enjoy!

Broadway actor and three-time Emmy Award- Winner Dick Cavett hosted the one-night-only Benefit Performance with verve and witty repartee, and even offered audiences a 60 second lesson in moonwalking. Proceeds from the event benefit the Company's wide-reaching and nationally recognized Training and Education programs.

 Jewish Plays Project (JPP), a development organization committed to putting bold, progressive Jewish conversations on world stages, continues its annual Open: Festival of play readings and workshops at the 14th Street Y including four new full-length plays and one new musical by Margot Connolly, Sarah Gancher, Gary Jaffe, David Hein & Irene Sankoff, and Sam Lahne.

Pioneer Theatre Company's new production of THE CRUCIBLE is very well directed, acted, and designed. It is a wonderful production of a deservedly perennial classic.
