Shakespeare on the Sound, Connecticut's premier outdoor summer theater company presenting free Shakespeare in the park, has found its ‘Othello' and ‘Iago.' It was announced today that Victor Williams will play the title role and Jesse J. Perez will play ‘Iago' in Othello, under the direction of Joanna Settle this summer.

Hamingson) announced today the 12 actors selected to participate in the FREE 2009 Shakespeare Lab, running June 15 to July 24. Lemon Andersen, Nathan Darrow, Paloma Guzmán, Zainab Jah, Lanna Joffrey, Modesto Lacén, Rebecca Lowman, William Mapother, Leslie Silva, Ryan Brooke Taylor, Molly Ward, and Victor Williams were selected from hundreds of applications to participate in this year's program.

Hamingson) announced today that The Shakespeare Lab, the theater's professional actor development program, will be tuition-free in 2009. The decision to make the program free this year builds on The Public's long tradition of free Shakespeare in the Park and the theater's ongoing commitment to building a community of classically trained artists. Shakespeare Lab 2009 will run from June 15-July 24.

Connecticut's premier outdoor summer theater, Shakespeare on the Sound, has appointed Joanna Settle as its new Artistic Director. Ms. Settle will be responsible for all of the company's artistic endeavors, including its annual summer production of a major Shakespeare play. She succeeds the company's founding artistic director, Ezra Barnes.
