It's December! Voting is now underway for the 2019 BroadwayWorld Memphis Awards, brought to you by TodayTix! Now you can vote to make sure your favorite local theatres and performers are recognized. Check out the first set of stats below.

To Kill a Mockingbird opens on the Lohrey Stage at Theatre Memphis, January 18, and runs through February 3, 2019. This dramatization by Christopher Sergel (from the book by Harper Lee) is set in 1935 and explores the curiosity and inconvenient presence of a young girl, Scout, as she brings some sanity to a hard fought situation in the community. She and her brother are being raised by their housekeeper and their father, Atticus Finch, who is a lawyer defending a young black man wrongfully accused in a quiet Southern town. Two student matinees (already sold out) will be Thursday, January 24 and Friday, February 2, both shows at 10 am.

Ladies & Legends, Songs of Stage & Screen, a fun and original cabaret performance as part of a Summer Showcase, opens at Theatre Memphis in the Next Stage July 13 and runs through July 29, 2018. A bevy of talented divas have who have performed numerous roles on the TM stages will entertain you with their strong vocal solos and harmonies as they come together in our Next Stage cabaret setting. With a mix of favorites from Broadway, movies and popular song lists, musical director Gary Beard has conceived an evening that will resound with the best and brightest voices to bring you the perfect summer offering.

The recording 'comes to life' and you have the ingredients for a masterful madcap evening that lovingly pokes fun at the musical theatre genre. Lovers on the eve of their wedding, desperate, bumbling friends, not-so-bright characters, imposters, and more perform one toe-tapping, rousing musical number after another.

KILLER JOE opened this past weekend at TheatreWorks, under the direction of James Kevin Cochran. Written by Tracy Letts in 1993, this production from New Moon Theatre is raucous fun, and expertly presented.
