Broadway at Music Circus in Sacramento has announced its cast for Something Rotten!, which includes Jackie Burns, Ben Fankhauser, and more!

Pioneer Theatre Company will present the record-setting Broadway hit, Hello, Dolly! as the closing musical for the current season. The turn-of- the-century romance, bursting with music and energetic dance will run from May 13 through May 28, 2022.

The dancers filmed themselves in locations around the country, all sharing the same yearning for the joyful return of live performances in front of an audience.

With Broadway performances on hold since March 12, 2020 and ballet companies on hold, the entire dance community looks forward to resuming performances and welcoming audiences safely back into the magical world of live dance and theater.  We all need “Somebody to Dance For!”

JEROME ROBBINS' BROADWAY pays tribute to a brilliant choreographer and becomes a testament to the enduring history of great Broadway shows. If you love musical theater this one will be right up your alley, and if you love dance it is even better.

In January I had the absolute pleasure of seeing The King and I at the Morrison Center in Boise Idaho. I got to see Akina Kitazawa perform in the role of Eliza (to those who haven't seen the show she is in the second half of the show in the musical number ' The Small House of Uncle Thomas'). I got to talk to her about things from The King and I to dream roles within theatre. Her performance was absolutely one of the best parts of the show, filled with so much passion and beauty. The entire audience couldn't keep their eyes off of what was happening the entire number. Shes now in a performance with 'Theatre Under the Stars' performing 'Jerome Robbins' Broadway' which Akina will talk about throughout the interview. You can read that down below! :)

BroadwayWorld has learned the casting for TUTS' Jerome Robbins' Broadway - the final show in the company's 201819 Season.

THE KING AND I plays through Sunday, February 24th at the Hippodrome in Baltimore. Singing and dancing along to the oh-so-familiar tunes is going a bit far, though some members of the audience are humming to themselves as the orchestra begins to tune.

NETworks Presentations announces that the national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater Production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I, based on the 2015 Tony Award -winning Lincoln Center Theater Production, will make its Madison premiere at Overture Center Tuesday, Feb. 26-Sunday, March 3, 2019 as part of the Broadway at Overture series. The national tour of THE KING AND I kicked off a three-night run in Sioux Falls, SD on Tuesday night and while it may have been a bitter -20 degrees outside, inside the audience was transported back to hot and tropical 1860s Siam where even the idea of snow was laughable to the children of the King.
