Theatrical charity Acting for Others and The Ivy has announced the return of One Night Only at The Ivy on London Theatreland's West Street, on Sunday 4 December 2022.

Monique Touko directs Toyin Ayedun-Alase, Donna Berlin, Maynard Eziashi, Simon Manyonda, Gloria Obianyo and Mercy Ojelade in the production which opens on Monday 12 September, with previews from Saturday 3 September, running until Saturday 1 October.

This evening, at an event held at Battersea Arts Centre, The Royal Society of Literature (RSL), the charity that represents the voice of literature in the UK, announced 60 new appointments including the first induction of writers elected to Fellowship through the Bicentenary RSL Open Initiative.

According to WhatsOnStage, the full lineup for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee has been announced. The 90 minute celebration is set to air tonight at 8pm via ITV. Stage and screen performers are set to take the stage, set on Windsor Castle grounds. Keala Settle from film's 'The Greatest Showman' and Broadway's Waitress will perform 'Sing' by Andrew Lloyd Weber and Gary Barlow. Today (Thursday 12 May 2022) the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) releases a new episode of its in-house podcast, Interval Drinks, featuring RSC Associate Artist and star of stage and screen David Tennant in conversation with Mark Quartley, who currently plays Henry VI in the RSC productions of Henry VI: Rebellion and Wars of the Roses.

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) announced that Gregory Doran will step down as Artistic Director from today after 35 years with the Company including the last ten years as Artistic Director.

Netflix and Shondaland today announced the cast of the limited series based on the origins of the historical figure Queen Charlotte. While the project is untitled, the series centers on the rise and love life of a young Queen Charlotte, it will also focus on Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury.

Kris Bowers reimagines Madonna’s “Material Girl” and “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,” a Jatin-Lalit/Lata Mangeshkar song from the hit 2001 Bollywood film of the same name. Duomo offers fresh takes of Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” and P!nk’s “What About Us.” Hannah V & Joe Rodwell, Steve Horner and Midnite String Quartet also contribute.

The Audio Publishers Association (APA) have announced finalists for the 2022 Audie Awards. Finalists include Cynthia Erivo for Best Female Narrator and Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Male Narrator. The College Academic Board gave Stella Kanu, Executive Director at LIFT (London International Festival of Theatre), an Honorary Fellowship of Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. The award was presented in person as part of a Graduation Ceremony on Friday 24th September held in the Rose Theatre, Sidcup campus.

A particular highlight, on 14 October, Wigmore Hall Associate Artist the British soprano Gweneth Ann Rand joins film star Adjoa Andoh for a special concert celebrating the artistry of African-American singers – Marian Anderson, Jessye Norman and Grace Bumbry.
