Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, the national union of stage directors and choreographers, and the League of Resident Theatres have reached agreement on a new four-year contract. Learn more about the agreement.

 Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara has been accepted as the 81st member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT).

The elite rotating judging and dining panel this season includes Dane Baldwin, Charlie Berens, Ryan Braun, Paul Bartolotta, Dominique Crenn, Curtis Duffy, Clea Duvall, Andrew Kroeger,  Emeril Lagasse, Hunter Lewis, Bricia Lopez, Tory Miller, Itaru Nagano, Carrie Nahabedian, Joe Papach, Shaina Papach, and more. Bishop has served as Producing Artistic Director of Lincoln Center Theater since July 2013, and first joined the organization as Artistic Director in January 1992.  His departure in June 2025 will coincide with the close of Lincoln Center Theater’s 40th anniversary season.
