Arizona Theatre Company (David Ivers, Artistic Director; Billy Russo, Managing Director) brings the iconic musical The Music Man to Tucson's Temple of Music & Art from Dec. 1-30 and the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix from Jan. 5-27, 2019.

One of the biggest hits in theatrical history, CATS will come to Shea's Buffalo Theatre from February 5 to 10, 2019 as part of a multi-season North American tour. Presale tickets will be on sale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7 by using the password MEMORY. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018.

When Arizona Theatre Company (David Ivers, Artistic Director; Billy Russo, Managing Director) brings the iconic The Music Man to Tucson and Phoenix, a powerhouse behind-the-scenes creative team will dramatically shape the on-stage experience for both patrons and performers.

Today, in celebration of National Cat Day, producers announced casting for the North American tour of the first ever Broadway revival of CATS. The multi-year tour will launch at Providence Performing Arts Center on January 22, 2019 and play 24 cities in its first season.

One of the biggest hits in theatrical history, CATS will open at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in Providence, RI, Tuesday, January 22 to Sunday, January 27, 2019 as part of a multi-season North American tour. In Providence, CATS is part of the Taco/White Family Foundation Broadway Series. CATS is recommended for ages 6 and up.

Preview performances of CATS began Thursday, July 14, 2016 followed by a Sunday, July 31, 2016 opening night.

Today, The Collaborator Party, headed by theatrical sound designers Lindsay Jones and John Gromada, announced that their event was a complete sell-out for the third year in a row. The Collaborator Party is the official Tony night party for the theatre sound community and all of their collaborators. The main party was held June 11, 2016 at Houston Hall (222 W. TDF's Autism Theatre Initiative (ATI), which presents autism-friendly performances of Broadway shows for an audience of families with children and adults on the autism spectrum, launches its seventh season with the first-ever autism-friendly performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical, Cats.

Today, the Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association (TSDCA) announced their first annual membership meeting, with events for both members as well as the general public. When I saw that New York City Opera was doing Leonard Bernstein's CANDIDE at the same time as New York's Prototype Festival--with Missy Mazzoli's BREAKING THE WAVES opening the festival of opera-theatre and music-theatre on the same night—I thought that it was great counter-programming. After all, what could be further from Mazzoli's brilliant but grim gem than Bernstein's comic masterpiece--proving there's more than one way to skin a music theatre piece?
