THE PROM Makes Its Kansas City Premiere At Starlight Theatre, September 13-18


The Prom is a musical comedy about big Broadway stars on a mission to change the world and the love they discover that unites them all. The show makes its Kansas City debut at Starlight Theatre September 13-18 as part of the AdventHealth Broadway Series.

The national tour of the 2019 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Musical “The Prom” will play at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre from August 9 through September 11, 2022 and will open August 10, 2022.

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2019 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. Tennessee Williams Fest STL Announces 2019 Main Stage Production


The Tennessee Williams Festival St. Louis - named the "Arts Startup of the Year" for 2019 by the Arts & Education Council - will present Tennessee Williams' steamy and startling "The Night of the Iguana" as its main stage production at the Grandel Theatre on May 9-19.  Jim Butz, Lavonne Byers, Nisi Sturgis, Elizabeth Townsend, and Harry Weber headline as Americans who are hiding-or seeking-or both-at a seedy Mexican hotel during the run-up to World War II. Tim Ocel will once again direct, having guided last year's "A Streetcar Named Desire" to a record 11 award nominations by the St. Louis Theater Circle.

It was announced today that the Original Broadway Cast Recording Of The Prom is set for digital release December 14th and physically January 11th.  Available for preorder now, the album is produced by Scott M. Riesett and Tony Award Nominee Matthew Sklar, with music by Sklar and lyrics by four-time Tony Award Nominee Chad Beguelin.

American fashion Designer and social activist, Kenneth Cole, today announced a partnership with Broadway's new musical comedy, THE PROM, to support human rights of LGBTQI people and equality. The partnership includes a fundraising initiative for the UN Foundation in support of UN Free & Equal - a global public information campaign of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to promote the fair and equal rights of LGBTQI+ people globally.

THE PROM Announces Rush Policy; Previews Begin Tomorrow


The new Broadway comedy The Prom has announced that a limited number of $40 general rush tickets (including the $2 facility fee) will be available at the Longacre Theatre box office (220 West 48th Street) when it opens for that day's performance(s) beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Limited to two tickets per person, tickets are subject to availability. Cast and major credit cards are accepted.

Tennessee Williams Festival Presents A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE


Tennessee Williams Festival St. Louis' production of "A Streetcar Named Desire" opens at 7:30 p.m., on Thurs., May 10, at the Grandel Theatre. Highlights to this year's production include original music composed by St. Louis-based Henry Palkes, a diverse and young cast under the direction of Tim Ocel, a Stella Shouting Contest emceed by Ben Nordstrom, and a New Orleans-style parade through Grand Center led by Harvey Lockhart.
