Mad Cow Theatre Announces Cast of Teatro Espanol: TRES MUJERES ALTAS

Mad Cow Theatre presents the magnificent work of Edward Albee, Three Tall Women in Spanish, as part of our series of Spanish Theatre readings. While an imperious and mordant old woman lies dying, she is attended by two other women and visited by a young man. Albee's frank dialogue on all topics, from incontinence to infidelity, portrays aging without sentimentality. His scenes are full of wit, pain and laughter, and his observations tell us about forgiveness, reconciliation and our own destinies. But it is his probing portrait of the three women that reveals Albee's genius. Separate characters on the stage in the first act, but in reality, "an ordinary woman" in different ages of her life in the second act, the "tall women" reveal the truths of our lives: how we live, how we love, what we settle for and how we die. Edward Albee has given viewers, critics and drama students a reason to rejoice: Three Tall Women is a masterpiece of modern theatre.

Mad Cow Theatre se complace en presentar la magnífica obra de Edward Albee, Tres mujeres altas (Three Tall Women) en español, como parte de nuestra serie de lecturas de Teatro Español. Mientras una anciana imperiosa y mordaz yace moribunda, es atendida por otras dos mujeres y visitada por un joven. El diálogo franco de Albee sobre todos los temas, desde la incontinencia hasta la infidelidad, retrata el envejecimiento sin sentimentalismo. Sus escenas están cargadas de ingenio, dolor y risas, y sus observaciones nos hablan acerca del perdón, la reconciliación y nuestros propios destinos. Pero es su retrato de sondeo de las tres mujeres lo que revela el genio de Albee.
