As part of its speaker series held at the NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) Institute in New York, NYUAD will present a discussion with Dr. John Burt on the diverse tapestry of ecosystems that populate the United Arab Emirates at the NYU Abu Dhabi Institute in New York on March 14th from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Dr. John Burt is the head of the Marine Biology Lab at NYUAD and an Associate Professor of Biology. Dr. Burt is also the lead editor of A Natural History of the Emirates, a fully open access, comprehensive resource about the nature and environment of the United Arab Emirates. This talk will shed light on the physical environment of the Emirates and provide insights into the interconnected web of life in this environmentally distinct region. Dr. Burt will break down the vast array of life forms that are uniquely adapted to the Arabian environment and explain humanity’s role in this rapidly evolving nation. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how to contribute to the vital mission of preserving and protecting the rich natural heritage of the country.
