From April 4 to April 25, the festival honoring playwright and human rights activist Vaclav Havel will offer New York audiences stage readings of contemporary plays by award-winning European playwrights from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, and Romania. Each festivals spring edition is a unique opportunity for a truly intercultural and multigenerational exploration of Central European present-day trends and the not-so-distant, turbulent past.
